This was a supply only contract, the requirement was to build a 100kVA generator capable of being used to charge the new electric double decker buses when they run out of power away from the depot.
The power demand on initial charging is a very high amperage which falls fairly quickly, it also has a harmonic threat at the Alternator. We compensated for this by adapting a larger 135kVA alternator which gave the set the required margin.
The set was collected and installed by EV Charge and only returned for final commissioning.
